Over the last 12 months we have undergone a major retrofit of the building. This has involved the taking out of our gas supply to keep our bills down (and help save the planet) and the introduction of:
- a solar panel array
- an airsource heatpump
- triple glazing (upstairs)
- a new roof and properly insulated loft
On the back of this we have also redecorated and repurposed some of our spaces.
The aim of these works is to ensure that we get at least another 20 years out of our building by bringing down core operational costs and the retrofit+ project is an initiative to help improve the health of local housing, bring bills down and improve the quality of employment on the estate.
